Are you an inspirational senior leader with a passion for excellence and a commitment to nurturing every child's potential? Due to the expansion of the Connect Alliance Trust to five schools, along with the promotion of the previous post holder, we have a unique opportunity for two dynamic and innovative Deputy Headteachers to join our Senior Leadership Team from January 2026. Both roles are non-class based and are key leadership roles within the school’s structure, responsible for driving strategic initiatives and ensuring the effective day-to-day operational running of the school.
Beaver Road is a larger than average, diverse primary school situated in the heart of Didsbury Village. In September 2018, we began our expansion from three forms of entry to five forms of entry across two school sites. Today, the school remains oversubscribed and is fully expanded, with approximately 1100 pupils aged from 3 to 11 years of age. Children from Nursery to Year 3 are based at Beaver Road First School site (M20 6SX), while children in Year 4 to Year 6 are based at our new purpose built Junior School site (M20 2RN) on Wilmslow Road.
In November 2024, Ofsted rated the school outstanding in all areas. This is a testament to the dedication of our staff and the commitment of our entire school community. This is a chance to play a central role in shaping the future of our vibrant and thriving school. As Deputy Headteacher, you will work hand-in-hand with the Headteacher to drive our school's vision and values. You will be responsible for leading key school priorities, overseeing the curriculum, and managing our pastoral and inclusive ethos. This is a role for a proven leader who is ready to take full responsibility for the school in the absence of the Headteacher and ensure we are always striving for outstanding outcomes.
We Are Seeking To Appoint Exceptional Candidates Who Have:
- Proven leadership and a track record of successfully leading whole-school initiatives that have led to significant improvements.
- Expertise in learning with a deep and current understanding of the National Curriculum, Phonics, EYFS framework, and national assessment requirements.
- Strategic vision with experience in school self-evaluation and development planning, able to devise, implement and monitor effective policies.
- Collaborative spirit skilled at building positive relationships and forging partnerships with families, external agencies and the wider community, including all stakeholders.
- Unwavering professionalism characterised by high commitment, conscientiousness and a strong work ethic. You must be up-to-date with all relevant legislation and guidance, including safeguarding, SEND, and equal opportunities.
