Start Date: April 2027
Your opportunity to be part of a specialist SEMH provision where every member of staff is proud to support young people to develop a sense of self, a sense of place and a sense of community.
Cabot Learning Federation is seeking to appoint an inspirational, dynamic and committed leader to drive academic improvement at The Brook Academy in Gloucester.
This is an exciting time to join the academy as it looks ahead to a new chapter in its development, led by a newly appointed Principal who will begin her journey in January 2027. The new Principal is looking forward to building a strong and collaborative leadership team and appointing a Deputy Principal to work alongside her, sharing the ambition, vision and commitment to ensuring the very best outcomes for our young people.
Brook Academy is a happy, vibrant and welcoming school, filled with wonderful young people and dedicated staff who are passionate about making a difference. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious leader to play a significant role in shaping the academy's future direction, strengthening its provision and creating meaningful opportunities for every student to succeed.
Working in close partnership with the Principal, the wider academy leadership team and colleagues across specialist and alternative provisions, the successful candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership to secure sustained improvements in teaching, learning and achievement. They will champion high expectations, inclusive practice and personalised approaches, ensuring that young people with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) are supported to reach their potential, 'level up' their educational outcomes and remain engaged, motivated and excited about learning.
Brook Academy caters for secondary-aged young people from Year 7 to Year 11.
We recognise that success looks different for every young person. We are committed to creating an environment where students feel safe, valued and understood, where their individual strengths are celebrated and where barriers to learning are removed.
This is more than a leadership appointment, it is an opportunity to help shape the next chapter in transforming opportunities, aspirations and outcomes for our young people.
Full role information and requirements, including the job description and person specification, can be found in the attached candidate information pack.
