Exceptional leadership. Transformational impact. Education at the heart of the community.

Oasis Academy Fir Vale is seeking to appoint an outstanding Deputy Principal to join our senior leadership team at an exciting point in our journey. This is a rare opportunity for a highly skilled, values‑driven leader to help shape the future of our academy and make a lasting difference to the lives of our students and the wider community.

Working in close partnership with the Principal, you will provide strategic leadership across the academy, deputising for the Principal when required and playing a pivotal role in driving high standards of achievement, behaviour, inclusion, and wellbeing. You will lead key whole‑academy priorities, support and challenge staff to deliver consistently excellent teaching, and help to cultivate a culture in which every learner can thrive.

Making a Difference as Deputy Principal

As Deputy Principal, you will shape both the strategic direction and the daily life of the academy. You will lead significant whole‑school initiatives that deliver measurable impact, champion excellence in teaching, learning, and curriculum design, and take a leading role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of every child. Through purposeful and collaborative leadership, you will support, develop, and line manage staff to secure sustained improvement, while nurturing a positive and inclusive culture rooted firmly in the Oasis ethos and values. You will work closely with parents, governors, partners, and the wider community and be a visible, inspirational presence across the academy, combining strategic leadership with an active teaching commitment that models exceptional practice.

We are looking for an exceptional leader who:

  • Has a strong and demonstrable track record of raising standards and improving outcomes
  • Demonstrates excellent leadership, communication, and relational skills
  • Uses data expertly to evaluate impact and drive improvement
  • Has experience of leading change successfully at senior or middle leadership level
  • Is deeply committed to safeguarding, inclusion, and equality
  • Shares and lives the Oasis values of hope, perseverance, inclusion, and healthy relationships
  • This role would suit an experienced senior leader or an ambitious leader ready to take the next step in their leadership journey within a supportive, values‑led trust.

Oasis Academy Fir Vale is part of Oasis Community Learning, a national trust driven by a clear moral purpose: Exceptional Education at the Heart of the Community. You will be supported by a strong network of leaders, high‑quality professional development, and meaningful opportunities for career progression across the trust.

Visits to the academy are strongly encouraged and warmly welcomed.
