Deputy SENDCo job summary

We are seeking to appoint a Deputy SENDCo within our Enhanced Provision team. The ideal candidate should be a passionate, proactive and committed individual, with an enthusiasm for working with the most vulnerable students within our school community. The Deputy SENDCo will be expected to work closely with the SENDCo, alongside other members of the SEND leadership team, and to take an active interest in the successes of students, the department and the school as a whole. At Middlewich High School, we recognise that all children have learning, wellbeing and safeguarding needs; the successful candidate will be committed to removing barriers to learning, ensuring students are supported and safe and enabled to achieve their full potential.

The successful applicant will be an efficient, flexible and motivated individual with personal drive. You will have a calm, organised nature, with the ability to work professionally to strict deadlines, responding effectively and efficiently to challenges. You will be able to communicate confidently and effectively, in varied situations. You will have the ability to work both as part of a team and independently, maintaining a positive and successful working relationship with colleagues.

This working hours for this position are 37 hours per week (8am-4pm Monday - Thursday, 8am-3.30pm Friday) 38 weeks per year.
