Deputy Year Leader (KS3/4) job summary

The Cherwell School is a successful comprehensive school in Oxford, rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Deputy Year Leader who is passionate about working with young people in the context of a year team and who will support the work of a Year Leader and the provision of a positive school experience for students. We are looking for a candidate who will have a positive impact on the ethos, behaviour and achievement of their year group.

About our School: We are a high performing and oversubscribed comprehensive school in Oxford with approximately 2,000 students on roll, including 680 in the Sixth Form. We are delighted that we were judged ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted (October 2022), as we feel this is a fair reflection of the school, not least as we recognize that we have the capacity to develop and improve further. We consider ourselves to be a school which has at its heart “opportunity, responsibility, excellence” and we aim to make this a deeper reality for all of our students and staff in the years to come.
