DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY TEACHER From: 1st January 2022 Salary: M1 – UPS3 We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed teacher of Design and Technology who has high expectations of students and themselves and who will motivate and inspire pupils to achieve their best. We are seeking to appoint, commencing January 2022, a Design and Technology Teacher. We are looking for someone who would enjoy working with highly motivated, intellectually curious students at Key Stages 3 and 4, and is comfortable delivering a wide range of DT areas, primarily timbers and electronics, but also plastics and metals, and including some food and textiles. NQTs and experienced teachers are invited to apply. The ideal candidate will have some electronics expertise, as we are looking to expand in this area of the curriculum, including the use of Arduino and other programmable components. The department teaches Design & Technology to GCSE and the department’s exam results are consistently high, with our latest results July 2021 being 85% grades 7-9, 50% 8-9, 27% grade 9.
