Design and Technology Teacher job summary

Are you a passionate and innovative Design Technology teacher ready to make a real impact? Oak Academy is a vibrant 11-16 community school, undergoing an exciting journey of transformation with growing student numbers and a complete new build as part of the Governments School Rebuilding Programme, due for completion in September. As part of this rebuild, for the first time in recent years, we have two brand new, fully equipped Design Technology spaces that will allow us to deliver a curriculum that will over time can include graphics, electronics, traditional workshop skills, metal casting, product design and CAD Design.


We're looking for a visionary Technology teacher and aspiring leader who is passionate about creating engaging and inspiring learning experiences.

In role you would:

  • Design and implement a cutting-edge Key Stage 3 Design Technology curriculum from the ground up in our brand new, state of the art facilities.
  • Collaborate with Trust wide curriculum leaders to shape a vibrant Technology department central to Oak Academy life.
