Design and Technology Technician job summary

Larkmead School is seeking applications for the role as a technician to support the Resistant Materials areas within our Technology Faculty. The successful candidate will have prior experience of working in this type of environment, although this need not necessarily have been in a school. Flexibility, patience, and a polite manner are a must for the post-holder. This role is term time only, for 25 hours per week, 8am - 1pm plus 5 days, which will mainly be the inset days of the school. This is a fixed term contract until 31 August 2027.

The role will involve assisting and supporting the teaching and learning of Resistant Materials to ensure learners’ make progress. More specifically: cleaning and maintenance of equipment; administrative support with regard to health & safety; sourcing and preparing equipment and tools; assisting and guiding students during lessons.
