We are looking for a proactive and skilled technician to join our creative and busy Design Technology department.
Working across our DT and food spaces, you will be responsible for setting up materials, maintaining tools and equipment, supporting the preparation of displays and exhibitions, and ensuring students can enjoy practical lessons in a safe and inspiring environment.
At the heart of our school is a belief in nurturing the whole child through high standards, strong character, and spiritual growth.

What will you do?
- Support the preparation, setup, and safe storage of materials, tools, and equipment for practical Design Technology and Food Technology lessons.
- Provide guidance and demonstrations to students and staff on the correct and safe use of machinery, tools, and resources.
- Maintain and repair tools and machinery, manage stock levels, and liaise with suppliers as needed.
- Create and maintain risk assessments, support classroom organisation, and contribute to health and safety procedures.
- Assist with displays, practical lessons and the presentation of student work across the department and wider school environment.

- Commitment to high standards in all areas of school life
- Experience and excellent track record in the field of health and safety in a support role
- Working knowledge of Design Technology machines and processes
- The ability to make decisions in consultation with the Class Teacher and colleagues as appropriate
