We are looking for an experienced Design and Technology Technician to join our team, to provide technical support to teaching staff and ensure a safe and clean working environment to facilitate high-quality teaching within the faculty.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist teachers with preparation of resources and equipment for lesson delivery on a daily basis
• Assist in lessons as required during practical sessions
• Develop apparatus and equipment for use in practical sessions and provide technical advice and assistance to teaching staff as required regarding resources for practical work and demonstrations
• Carry out practical demonstrations in the classroom as required
• Construct and modify apparatus as required, at the request of teachers in the faculty
• Retrieve, clear and clean equipment, including disposal of waste material in line with established guidelines

Pay range:

SCP 12 - 17 £25,152.73 - £27,284.70 (FTE: £28,598 - £31,022)

37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Permanent

Qualifications and Skills:

• 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (minimum grade 4 or equivalent)
• Working knowledge of health and safety including COSHH
• Experience of working within a school or similar environment
• Ability to demonstrate and inspire a passion for Technology
