Design and Technology Technician job summary

Larkmead School is seeking applications for the role as a technician to support the Food, Textiles, Graphics areas within our Technology Faculty. The successful candidate will have prior experience of working in any of these environments, although this need not necessarily have been in a school. Flexibility, patience, and a polite manner are a must for the post-holder.

The role will involve assisting and supporting the teaching and learning of Food, Textiles, Graphics to ensure learners’ make progress. More specifically: cleaning and maintenance of equipment; administrative support with regard to health & safety; sourcing and preparing equipment and tools; assisting and guiding students during lessons.

The position is for 25 hours per week, 9am - 2pm (some flexibility available) 5 hours per day during term time only plus 5 inset days.
