Design and Technology Technician job summary
Design & Technology Technician – 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.00pm and Friday 8.00am to 3.30pm, term time only (39 Weeks). Flexibility for less hours and start/finish times can be accommodated for the right candidate. Grade C – Step 1 FTE £24,405, Actual Annual Salary £20,931.96 (based on 37 hours a week).

Wildern School, a thriving secondary school in Hedge End, is seeking an enthusiastic and ideally qualified Design & Technology Technician to join our vibrant team.
We are delighted to advertise an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who will play a vital part in supporting the delivery of our Design & Technology curriculum. We are looking for someone who ideally has a background in Design & Technology or any related field and possesses practical skills or have some prior experience with any relevant tools and equipment.
Responsibilities will include:
Preparing, setting up and maintaining a wide range of equipment and materials for practical lessons.
Supporting teachers and students in the workshop environment, ensuring a safe and productive learning space.
Assisting with the development and implementation of engaging and practical learning activities.
Maintaining and repairing equipment, ensuring it is in good working order.
Ordering and keeping stock of resources.
Contributing to the overall organisation and smooth running of the Design & Technology department.
