About the Role
As a Teacher of Design Technology and Engineering at UCS, you will:
- Deliver an engaging, broad, and relevant Design Technology curriculum from Year 7 to Year 13, including GCSE, A Level, and BTEC pathways.
- Inspire pupils through creative and practical lessons that develop critical thinking and real-world skills in our state-of-the-art workshops, computer suites, and food rooms.
- Play a key role in shaping the department’s strategic vision, curriculum development, and enrichment activities.
- Foster a culture of high expectations, excellent behaviour, and academic achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the Trust and engage with parents and external partners to enhance pupil progress and opportunities.
- Support the Trust’s specialism in Engineering and facilitate employer engagement to prepare pupils for future careers.
- Contribute as a Form Tutor, supporting pupils’ personal development, wellbeing, and life skills.
You will join a team committed to innovation and continuous improvement, with opportunities to develop your professional skills through tailored training, mentoring, and leadership pathways.
