Design Technology, Food and Art Technician required from 21st August 2025

Full time salary: £24,790 - £25,183 per annum

Actual Salary: £18,319 - £18,610 (73.9% FTE)

32.50 Hours per week, term time only

Monday to Friday – 8.20am to 3.20pm (with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break)

About the role

We are looking for a professional and motivated individual to join our highly successful Design Technology, Food and Art team. Staff are friendly and approachable and you will be a valued member of the team, working alongside other technicians to make a positive contribution. As a Technician at Manor High School, you will be required to support the teaching of the Department. You will provide day to day technical support, develop and prepare associated equipment, facilities and materials for use by the teacher and students. You will be given training and in turn be responsible for helping to maintain safe and hygienic working classrooms.


Previous experience of working in a food environment, Art or Design, working with young people and good IT skills would be desirable but not essential. We are looking for the right person who fits our school. We will also welcome applications from individuals who may be in search of new career opportunities, within a flexible and adaptable environment. Full training will be provided to ensure a smooth transition into the technician role.
