The Vale Academy are looking to appoint a Design Technology Technician to join our academy as soon as possible on a permanent, part time basis.

Your new role

As the Technician for the Technology department, you will work closely with the Head of Department to support teaching and learning by ensuring equipment and resources are prepared and in good working order to facilitate effective lessons on a daily basis.

Salary: Grade D Points 6 to 8 (£25,989 to £26,824 (Full Time Equivalent) subject to pro rata. The minimum actual pro rata salary per annum for this job starts at £13,303.57.

Hours: 22.5 hours per week / Term Time only (38 weeks) / Permanent

Indeed, 2023 outcomes placed the academy second in the local authority for overall progress which was "above" national average at +0.32 and its attainment at 4+ and 5+ in both English and Maths was 74% and 50% respectively. Provisional results for 2024 see this trend continuing with students’ performance in English and Maths being significantly above national averages with 65% of students achieving a 5+ in both English and Mathematics.
