We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and reliable part-time Design & Technology Technician to join a highly successful Visual Arts Faculty.
The successful candidate will support the 3D Design (wood/metal crafts) teachers to assist in preparation of lesson materials, handle stock and data, create learning displays, support student activity in lessons and maintain a safe organised working environment for staff and students. The person appointed will also be responsible for maintenance of the laser cutter, tools and equipment and ensure that the workshop is in good working order. An awareness of the importance of health and safety within a school environment is essential.
The position would therefore ideally suit someone with a background in practical craft or engineering, looking for a creative post with diverse responsibilities, along with the rewards of contributing to the education of young people.
The successful candidate will be an energetic, hard-working, creative and adaptable individual with the ability to demonstrate initiative and work co-operatively within a team. This is an exciting time to join a high profile and forward-looking faculty and contribute to the continuing success of John Mason School.
