Join Our Team as a Flexible and Enthusiastic Design Technology Technician

We’re looking for a reliable and motivated Technician to work alongside and support our experienced Design Technology team of staff. If you enjoy hands-on work, have a good eye for maintenance, and would like to make a positive impact on the education of our young people, as part of a friendly, supportive team — this could be the perfect role for you!

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing:

Preparation of equipment, materials and learning resources required for practical lessons in Design Technology

To offer specialist in-class support in order to raise attainment in Design Technology across both key stages.

Coordination of the maintenance, repair and safe storage of equipment, materials and learning resources

Maintenance of the inventory of equipment, materials and learning resources and to carry out regular audits

To help students to develop their learning skills and their confidence, particularly in the use of equipment, materials and learning resources

👷♂️ What We’re Looking For:

  • A flexible and enthusiastic approach to work
  • Good interpersonal skills and a team player attitude
  • Previous experience in construction or design technology is a bonus but not essential (full training will be provided for the right candidate)
  • Willingness to undertake manual handling tasks safely using the correct equipment
