The Role
We are seeking an inspirational and strategic Designated Mental Health Lead to join our team. Working alongside the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), SENDCo, and our local Cheshire East Mental Health Support Team (MHST), you will shape and drive a whole-school approach to mental health. You will design early intervention pathways, support primary-aged children developing emotional regulation, and act as a crucial bridge between families and external specialist services.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience working within a primary school setting or an early-years therapeutic environment.
- Deep understanding of childhood development, attachment theory, and trauma-informed practices.
- Strong multi-agency networking skills, with an understanding of Cheshire East referral pathways (e.g., CWP CAMHS, Visyon, Just Drop In).
- Completion of, or a willingness to undertake, the DfE-funded Senior Mental Health Lead training.
- Class cover as required.
