We are currently seeking an imaginative, creative, and proactive leader in this new role to take our Creative Arts faculty to the next stage of its development. It is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding teacher and leader to join us on our incredible journey at Bloxwich Academy; an oversubscribed and expanding school that has undertaken rapid improvement in recent years, achieving ‘Good’ (Nov 21) and now striving for ‘Outstanding’. The academy has a well-equipped and vibrant Creative Arts faculty including Dance, Drama, Music, Art, and Textiles, with high pupil interest in all areas, strong engagement in extracurricular activities, school performances and Arts Mark workshops. Applicants will be able to lead the faculty and teach Art or Expressive Arts including Music and Textiles as a preferred specialism across all key stages up to A level. Applications are welcome from experienced leaders and well-qualified ambitious teachers with leadership skills looking to take their next step in professional development. We are looking for: A talented teacher who has the passion to lead a Creative Arts team. Could it be you? You must be able to demonstrate: • A proven track record of raising attainment through their teaching and learning, making a positive impact within and beyond their own classroom. • In depth subject knowledge of subject specialism. • A passion to make a difference in pupils’ lives. • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and inspire pupils and support colleagues. • A commitment to school improvement. • An ability to inspire and lead a team. • Understanding of both GCSE, A Level and vocational course structure is desirable
