JOB TITLE: Director of Geography

SALARY: Leadership pay range L11-L15 (dependent on experience)

ACCOUNTABLE TO: CEO for Trust-wide standards, but will be accountable to the Director of Curriculum.

An exciting new position for an excellent Geography specialist who will work closely with the Director of Curriculum to be wholly responsible for the Geography curriculum and standards across the Lionheart Educational Trust. The successful candidate will be accountable for the progress students make at KS3 and their overall attainment at GCSE and A level. They will work with a middle leadership team across Lionheart schools, alongside a central curriculum team, led by the Director of Curriculum, to support effective implementation of the curriculum, strengthen leadership and Trust wide secondary school improvement work.

The Director of Geography is a dynamic and exciting opportunity to really make a difference to a wide range of learners whilst developing trust wide leadership skills by working across a diverse range of secondary settings.

The successful candidate will be a highly effective teacher and leader who can build effective professional relationships, lead by example and implement outstanding teaching and learning. There will be an expectation to be flexible to teach and support with teaching across trust secondary schools dependent on need.

PURPOSE

To assist the Director of Curriculum in embedding a shared vision for education, curriculum and pedagogy, across Lionheart Educational Trust with a particular focus on Geography.
