Abbey Multi Academy Trust is a Church of England Trust committed to delivering high‑quality, inclusive education so that every child is nurtured and empowered to flourish. We are seeking an exceptional Director of Primary Education to provide Trust‑wide leadership and oversight of primary education across our academies.

This is a senior executive role with accountability for standards, quality, school improvement, leadership capacity and educational risk across the primary phase. Working closely with the CEO and fellow senior executive leaders, the post holder will ensure that educational priorities, operational planning and Trust strategy are aligned and delivered effectively.

We are looking for a leader who can:

  • Lead and secure high standards of teaching, learning and outcomes across all primary academies
  • Provide line management, professional challenge and support to primary headteachers
  • Be part of a team of senior executive leaders delivering coherent Trust-wide improvement
  • Lead Trust-wide primary school improvement, quality assurance and inspection readiness

You will be:

  • A credible, influential and experienced primary educational leader
  • An effective senior leader with a strong track record of improving standards across schools
  • Confident in holding leaders to account while sustaining positive professional relationships
  • A strategic thinker able to translate Trust priorities into clear and sustainable action
  • Firmly committed to safeguarding, inclusion and high professional standards
  • Supportive of the Trust’s Christian vision, mission and values
