About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious, inspirational and experienced education leader to join our Executive Leadership Team as Vice Principal Quality and Standards.
This is a key Group-wide leadership role with strategic responsibility for Quality Assurance, Teaching, Learning and Assessment, English and maths, and attendance. Working closely with the Executive Principal, Campus Principals and senior leaders, you will help ensure every learner receives a high-quality educational experience, achieves the best possible outcomes and progresses successfully to employment, further study or other positive destinations.
As Vice Principal Quality and Standards, you will provide strategic leadership for quality and standards across the Group, ensuring our quality assurance processes are robust, effective and focused on continuous improvement. You will work with Campus Principals and curriculum leaders to ensure the effective implementation of the college quality cycle, while leading the professional development of curriculum teams to promote consistently high-quality teaching, learning and assessment.
You will work closely with the Principal GFE and Principal Landbased and Environment to ensure appropriate pedagogical support is available across the Group, particularly where improvement is required. You will also take executive responsibility for English and maths, ensuring provision remains focused on improving learner achievement and progression.
A further key priority will be leading our Group-wide approach to attendance and learner engagement. You will champion high expectations, use performance data and insight to identify areas for improvement, and work with colleagues to ensure learners are fully engaged in their education.
Skills and Experience
We are looking for someone with recent, significant management experience within Further Education and a proven track record of leading improvement and achieving successful outcomes. You will have teaching experience across a range of levels, extensive knowledge of FE learner groups and funding streams, including 14–16, 16–18, adult, tailored learning and apprenticeships, and experience of developing curriculum in partnership with stakeholders to meet community needs.
You will bring a strong understanding of effective teaching, learning and assessment, excellent knowledge and application of learner performance data, and the ability to build high-performing teams. A degree or equivalent Level 6 qualification, PGCE or equivalent, and Level 2 English and maths are essential. Experience of working across a multi-site organisation, FE Inspector training, employer engagement, Value Added and post-16 English and maths would be advantageous.

You will demonstrate integrity, resilience and a strong work ethic, alongside a genuine commitment to continuous learning, equality, diversity and inclusion.
