The Governors at Bridlington School, are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and committed and enthusiastic Director of Science to join our highly successful and dynamic leadership team. We are seeking to appoint a person who is passionate about Science and Teaching and Learning. We are seeking an individual with the skills and qualities to improve the achievement of students of all attainment levels and abilities. You will take on a vital role in ensuring that the science team are equipped to deliver an inclusive education for all students. We are looking for someone who has an innovative outlook and a commitment to the role, a clear ambition and enthusiasm for Teaching and Learning, and will be fully involved in the leadership of the school.

The school is located within an easy commutable distance from Hull, York and Scarborough.
The person appointed will:
Take up a vital position of authority and leadership in line with the schools core expectations for teaching and learning
Be responsible for providing professional strategic leadership and daily management of the science team (both teaching and support).
Be expected to actively contribute to establish a learning environment that inspires both a passion and commitment to learning.
Share their passion for Science inspiring both students and staff through effective delivery of an ambitious inclusive Science curriculum;
Be committed and accountable to securing excellent outcomes for all group of students through a relentless drive to develop great science teachers in the department;
Be an excellent role model, exemplifying a high standard of leadership and Science teaching by promoting high expectations for all members of the school community;
Develop and implement the educational philosophy of the school and to cultivate and promote good practice;
Appointment is subject to an Enhanced check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
