Director of Sport and Performing Arts Faculty job summary
We are:
A “Good” school (Ofsted, April 2024). A lively and purposeful co-educational, comprehensive state boarding school for children aged 7 to 18 years, with approximately 670 flexi-boarders and 430 full boarders. The school is a popular choice for local families who attend on our flexi boarding package, as well as for full boarders from further afield in the UK and internationally. This is due to a wide range of factors including our facilities, academic pathways and results, pastoral care, the boarding and flexi-boarding ethos and environment, wide range of trips and co-curricular activities and the resultant attitudes of its pupils.

As a 7-18 State Boarding School, we seek an exceptional candidate for the position of Director of Sports & Performing Arts Faculty.
We are looking for a leader who can provide highly effective and innovative teaching of PE, Music or Drama across all levels Key Stage 3, 4, 5 to ensure that all our students make excellent progress and inspire students to have a passion for the subject.
The successful candidate will be:
- Passionate about the personal development of students
- An excellent practitioner
- A proven track record of inspiring leadership, including recent experience as subject lead
- Enthusiastic about his/her own professional development
