Drama Teacher job summary

Our vibrant school is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Drama Teacher to join their performing arts department. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students and develop their confidence, creativity, and performance skills.

Duties as a Drama Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and dynamic drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Foster a love of drama, performance, and creativity among students.

  • Direct and support school productions, drama clubs, and extracurricular activities.

  • Assess, monitor, and support students’ academic and practical progress.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop a strong performing arts programme.

Ideal Drama Teacher:

  • Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.

  • Has a passion for drama and the performing arts.

  • Has experience teaching drama in a secondary school (desirable but not essential for Early Career Teachers).

  • Is an engaging and inspirational teacher with excellent classroom management skills as a Drama Teacher.

  • Is committed to fostering creativity, teamwork, and confidence in students.

You will be appointed on a fixed term contract covering Maternity, commencing in September 2025.
