What skills and experience we're looking for
Education Impact Academy Trust is a MAT incorporating The Hive College, Wilson Stuart School, Queensbury School and Mayfield School. The Hive College is based in Erdington, Birmingham and is a Specialist Further Education College for learners aged 19-25 years with Special Educational Needs and disabilities. In November 2023 we were graded Outstanding in every single aspect of an Ofsted Inspection.
Our adopted college motto is ‘Believing is achieving’, which resonates through everything we do at The Hive and it’s at the heart of what we want our students to aspire to. We constantly strive for excellence, seeking innovative and collaborative ways of delivering the curriculum. As part of our on-going development of a highly successful specialist college, we have Driver vacancies available to join our team of professional and dedicated people.
The college is a very happy and positive working environment. All staff are friendly and very supportive, we have excellent facilities and a superb environment to support teaching and learning and prepare our students for adulthood. We believe that ‘Better Never Ends’.
We offer three individualised study programmes for students with PMLD, SLD, MLD and ASD. Our study programmes focus on preparation for adulthood, which include:

The right candidate will have:
- A full clean driving licence with D1 entitlement
- The ability to follow designated routes to safely transport students with special educational needs to and from college
- Strong communication skills and a calm, patient approach
- The ability to conduct daily safety checks and adhere to legal and college safety requirements
- Effective problem solving skills
- A flexible and positive attitude
