NSB Trust Support Staff Scale point 3 £25,614 FTE

(£17,354 to £21,403 Actual, dependent on hours)

30 to 37 hours a week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus training days)

8:00am-4:00pm 4 days and 8:00am-3:30pm 1 day; 30-minute unpaid lunch break (hours confirmed on appointment)

8:00am start required, but shorter hours considered.

About the Role

Would you like to be part of an exciting journey by joining a newly opened and growing school, based at our brand-new site with outstanding facilities off Thorpeville, to start at the beginning of the new academic year?

Northampton School (part of The NSB Trust) is looking for a versatile and enthusiastic member of staff to support the school’s Art & Design Department and join a small team of technicians. It is desirable, but not essential, that the successful applicant will have a passion for Design Technology and be able to support with both Food technology and Product Design. The successful applicant will be an integral member of the team, working closely with teachers, supporting in lessons and enabling them to deliver a first-class education. They will ensure that teachers have all the necessary materials and equipment for students’ lessons as well as providing administrative support to the team.

Although no previous experience is necessary, it is a requirement of the post that the successful candidate undertakes specialist training in Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene, machine training and First Aid training. We will support the successful applicant with this.

You must be professional and a good communicator when working with staff, students and outside agencies;

You must have an excellent standard of literacy, numeracy, ICT skills and general education;

You must have a positive approach to challenge and change and ensure the overall well-being of students;

You must ensure that the school is a pleasant and secure learning environment so that all students feel safe.
