Design & Technology Technician Salary: £24,083 pa We have an exciting opportunity to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join one of the most popular and successful departments in the College. St Joseph's is a high performing school, ranked in the top 25 of Boys non-selective schools nationally. The role is for 30 hours per week full time or 36 hours term time plus 2 weeks. As a Design & Technology Technician, you will support the delivery of the technology curriculum, including Engineering and Food technology, across the school by providing practical day-to-day support in the learning environment and to ensure that the students gain the best experience in this practical subject. You will prepare teaching materials as required to ensure effective support for teaching staff in the department. Ideally we are looking for someone who has Engineering or DT skills. The successful candidate would be required to assist in supporting the Site Team in non-term time. We are looking for someone who understands the difference a great education can make to pupils lives, will be a great role model for not only them but other members of staff too. Ideally you will be have previous experience of working in a school environment. You enjoy being part of a great team and you have a genuine passion and belief in the potential of every student. The ideal candidate will: • have experience in a similar capacity. • Be a confident, organised, pro-active individual who is able to prioritise their time and have the ability to work on their own initiative. • be enthusiastic and passionate about helping students. • have excellent inter-personal/networking skills • have good attention to detail • have good listening skills.
