Job description

Do you have the qualities our children would like to see in their next teacher?

Are you an experienced Early Years Teacher who is seeking an EYFS Phase Leader role at a 'Good' school with outstanding early years provision?

The Grove is a successful school with a strong ethos and a hugely committed staff team. We are enjoying much success, but know there is a real potential for further development and we have exciting, ambitious plans for the future.

This permanent post would suit an outstanding classroom practitioner who has superb communication skills. Passion is crucial and the successful candidate must have energy and enthusiasm to bring to their classroom and phase, in order that pupil learning is enriched and teaching standards remain high.

Key responsibilities will include:
•Working with the Principal, senior leadership team and school staff to implement the strategic vision for the school focused on continuous improvement.
•Ensuring the school provides education of the highest quality within a happy, secure environment.
•Monitoring staff within the phase to ensure teaching, learning and pupil outcomes are of the highest possible standard.
•Support colleagues by sharing and modelling effective classroom practices, and by monitoring these in order to secure on-going development and improvement.
•Engage in detailed and rigorous analysis of evidence which demonstrates pupil progress; respond and intervene appropriately.
•Actively model and promote a culture of high ambition and expectation.
•As a teacher with phase responsibility, provide a broad, balanced, engaging and challenging curriculum, that fully meets the requirements of the Early Years Curriculum and its assessment, and which is relevant to and accessible to all pupils.
•Use robust systems for school self-evaluation, offering high levels of support, challenge and intervention as required.
•Adhere to an agreed monitoring schedule, reflecting and acting upon findings on an on-going basis.
•Implement the Academy’s behaviour policy and actively work with colleagues to ensure standards of behaviour are high.
•Lead a subject in the academy and support its development across the Trust.
•Act as Performance Reviewer for staff in line with the Performance Management structure.
•This post is class based. An element of non-class based release accompanies the role and will be decided by the Principal and Aspire.
•We can offer you:
•An excellent environment in which to successfully develop your career
•The guidance and support of an experienced Executive Principal, Principal, Phase Leaders and staff teams
•The benefits of working collaboratively with colleagues
•An investment in your CPD and opportunities across the Aspire Academy Trust
Our Multi Academy Trust was formed in September 2014, and incorporates Hammond, Bovingdon, Bedmond, Broadfield, Knutsford and The Grove Academies, along with a well-established Teaching School.

•A strong learning environment, evidenced by our learning culture and our teaching school
•The opportunity to help drive the Trust, its employees and its practices towards future excellence
•Collaboration of good practice across the Trust schools
•Have a teaching school as part of the Trust offering excellent training opportunities
•The ability to progress with the Trust schools to leadership posts
•Free meal offered daily to all Trust staff
