EYFS Class Teacher job summary

The Headteacher and Governors of this lovely school are seeking to appoint an excellent, ambitious and motivated teacher who is passionate about raising standards, having fun and improving the learning opportunities for children.

A vacancy in our EYFS class has been created due to the retirement of the current post holder, who enjoyed her job so much she has been with us for 30 years!

We are looking for a teacher who enjoys working in the EYFS and is ready for a new chapter in their career. If we receive DfE approval, we are hoping to open our doors to FS1 pupils for the first time in September 2023, and we are looking for someone who will embrace this exciting challenge and lead our new EYFS provision.

We have a fantastic outside area and a classroom space stacked full of potential and opportunity. We want to appoint someone with vision and creativity to create a learning environment that excites and engages all who visit it.

Our current class of 16 pupils have settled in well and are looking for a teacher to care for them and inspire them as they complete their first year at school. They love having fun and working hard!

We are looking for a teacher who can deliver our school values to the pupils to ensure that all children are:

- Happy and Healthy

- Confident and Curious

- Responsible and Caring

- Hardworking and Ambitious

- Respectful and Understanding

Our current teacher is retiring at Christmas, so in a perfect world we’d like you to start in January 2023. However, we’re patient people and will happily hang on until April or even September if you’re worth waiting for!

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a high-quality classroom practitioner and able to work as part of a team
  • Have a sound knowledge of the National Curriculum, Planning and Assessment
  • Be well motivated, have high expectations with a strong commitment to raising standards
  • Be innovative, creative and fun
  • Be able to inspire children with enthusiasm for learning
  • Be committed to creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment
  • Have the desire to make a real difference to our pupils

We can offer you:

  • A hardworking, friendly and caring staff team
  • Polite, happy and well-behaved children who are eager to learn
  • A friendly, supportive school community
  • A commitment to your continued professional development
