Eagle Play Mentor (EPM) After School Club job summary

Role: Eagle Play Mentor - After School Club

Hours: Monday- Friday, 15:00-17:45, Term Time only.

Closing Date: 8th October 2025 Interview Date: 13th October 2025

An opportunity has arisen to join the St John’s Church of England Primary School After School Club team. The role of the Eagle Play Mentors is to ensure that our St John’s School ethos is extended to our after school care by providing a safe, supportive and stimulating environment. Working as part of a team of four, the Eagle Play Mentors provided a structured environment for the children to learn, play and develop by planning group activities and encouraging the children to be respectful of each other. All our staff work in partnership to support the best outcomes for children and this involves a flexible approach.

The vacancy is five days per week, 3.00pm - 5:45 pm, 38 weeks term time, however job share would be considered. There are two staff training days at the beginning of each new school year, these take place during the September Inset days when the school is closed to pupils.
