Early Years Assistant (Grade 4 SCP 3-5)

32.5 hours or 35 hours per week (5 days per week) preferable but part time positions will be considered (16.5 hours 2 ½ days)

Salary £18,887 - £19,650 pro-rata.

Do you have the passion, dedication and energy required to work in our busy nursery school? Do you enjoy working with and making a difference to children’s lives? If so, you may be just what we are looking for!

We are seeking to appoint an Early Years Assistant to join our friendly, supportive, hardworking team. The role will require you to work as a key person and member of a class team delivering the EYFS, in the classroom and our magical outdoor learning environment. You will be working with children aged between 2 and 4 years old, some of whom have additional needs. Please see the Job Description and Person Specification for the role.

You MUST hold a Level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent that allows you to work in an Early Years Setting. You can use the government qualifications checker to ensure your qualification is accepted under the ‘Early Years Qualifications pre or post September 2014’. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/eyfs-staffchild-ratios-dfe-approved-qualifications

You must have a good level of written and spoken English.

We are the only Local Authority Maintained Nursery School in Peterborough, as such we have a Head teacher and teachers who lead each of our classes. We take children from 2 to 4 years of age.

Set within our Nursery and Woodland Gardens, the Nursery School consists of three classrooms which are designed to offer an environment where children are safe, inspired and happy. We are dedicated to working alongside parents to provide for the care and development of the children in our school.
