New College Durham Academies Trust (NCDAT) and Catchgate Primary School are seeking to appoint an outstanding Early Years Teacher, to fulfil the role of Early Years Lead. This is an excellent opportunity for an exceptional teacher who is looking to develop a career in school leadership.
The successful candidate will be the strategic Lead for Early Years across the 2-5 age range. Comprising of:
- Funded 2 Year Play and Learn
- Nursery and 30 Hour provision
- Reception
The Early Years Lead will have a teaching commitment and be responsible for the early provision across each setting, with duties comprising assessment, moderation and training. The successful candidate will manage the staffing requirements of each department.
The successful candidate will:
- Demonstrate an expert knowledge within the EYFS and development matters
- Be an inspirational teacher with proven methods of raising outcomes in Early Years
- Be able to drive achievement forward and ensure good progress through effectively tracking pupil learning
- Be committed to the ethos and values of the school becoming involved in all aspects of school life in particular wellbeing and mental health
- Be able to provide and broad and balanced curriculum accessible to all pupils
- Be a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), leading on a specific curriculum or strategic area
- Work in partnership with the SLT, Primary Director and the Trust
Essential Qualifications:
- QTS
- Minimum of 3 years early years’ experience post qualification.
