Early Years Leader (with Classroom responsibilities) job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic, inspirational Early Years Leader to join our dedicated team and lead our early years provision to the next level of excellence. We are a two-form Catholic Primary school and part of the Diocese of Westminster Academy Trust. You will be part of the senior leadership team and have responsibility of an early year’s class. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the learning experiences of our youngest children, ensuring every child has the best possible start to their educational journey.
As part of the leadership team, you will model outstanding practice, provide professional guidance to colleagues, and ensure that the EYFS curriculum is delivered to the highest standards.
You are required to have QTS, relevant EYFS experience and leadership capabilities, along with a proven track record of delivering high-quality early years education.

The Role
The successful applicant will join as the Early Years Foundation Stage Lead. This role involves overseeing our Nursery and 2 Reception classes, ensuring the delivery of exceptional early years education.
Have responsibility for and oversee the management of Early Years
Deliver high quality teaching and learning in your own class. Meeting the expectations set out in the Teacher’s Standards
Have responsibility for and oversee the management of Early Years
Fulfil duties reasonably directed by the Headteacher
Lead and inspire the Early Years team to deliver high-quality teaching and learning
Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure alignment between Early Years provision, whole-school and trust priorities
Ensure that all statutory requirements of the EYFS framework are met consistently
Use assessment and data effectively to track progress and plan next steps
Work closely with parents, carers, and external agencies to support every child’s development
Drive continuous improvement in provision, environment and outcomes
Foster a nurturing, inclusive and stimulating environment where children thrive
To ensure smooth transitions between phases
Direct, supervise and provide guidance to support staff assigned to them and, where appropriate, other teachers
Contribute to the recruitment, selection, appointment and professional development of other teachers and support staff
Monitor quality and standards of resources delegated to them
Fulfil duties reasonably directed by the Headteacher.
