What skills and experience we're looking for

Are you an energetic Individual who can keep up with a room full of explorers? If so, you might be interested in the Early Years Play Assistant position we currently have at Horbury Primary Academy. We are seeking to appoint an Early Years Play Assistant who can provide a range of appropriate creative, stimulating and fun activities for the Early Years pupils which are physically active.

As an Early Years Play Assistant, you will be required to lead the preparation of creative and stimulating activities and encourage active participation, to help pupils build foundational play skills. You will act as a key facilitator in developing pupils’ social and physical play skills, while ensuring high levels of engagement.

The right candidate will play a proactive role in supporting the development of the Academy’s behaviour policy, ensuring that it is implemented effectively, to encourage a safe, inclusive, and positive atmosphere for all pupils.

The successful candidate will have to be aware of all children and provide general supervision as required and will be provided with additional training to help deal with any immediate problems or emergencies.

The position is on a part-time basis working Monday to Friday from 12:15pm to 1:15pm.
