What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Ofsted recognised Early Years qualification Level 2 or above (CWDC Diploma, NNEB, BTEC, NVQ, CACHE).
  • A passion for the Early Years.
  • The ability to maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children.
  • An ability to carry out physical duties to include lifting children, housekeeping tasks and setting up resources.
  • Emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviours.
  • Able to communicate effectively with adults and children, parents and carers.
  • Good organisational skills
  • A willingness to learn and abide by the nursery policies and procedures.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Able to demonstrate reliability and initiative.
  • A professional attitude and manner.
  • An enthusiastic approach to work.
  • Flexibility to cope with the changing needs of the nursery.
  • The ability to work as part of a team, developing positive relationships with parents, children, colleagues and outside agencies.
  • Adhere to the nursery code of conduct.
  • Be trustworthy, maintain confidentiality and honesty to reflect the policies and values of the nursery.
  • Ability to cope when covered in multiple unknown substances.

Albrighton Primary School and Nursey is a caring and nurturing school situated in an idyllic setting within a village community next to RAF Cosford. We presently have 302 pupils on our school role including our Nursery. Numbers fluctuate regularly due to a large Service Family contingency. Driven by our continuous quest of self-improvement and belief that ‘Only our best will do!’, we are seeking an LSA to support SEN pupils to reach their full potential.
