Early Years Practitioner job summary

Early Years Practitioner (EYP) required from 4 September 2024

28 hours per week - 8.40am-3.15pm Monday to Friday, with one hour lunch, Term Time Only

Pro rata payable SCP 5 £14,839 per annum

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and self-motivated Early Years Practitioner (EYP), to join our Early Years Team.

As an EYP, you will need knowledge of the Early Years Curriculum and understanding of how children learn and develop. Knowledge of Read, Write Inc Phonics would be beneficial, however not essential. We are looking for someone who can work as part of our great team, is flexible and a good listener.

The role of the EYP is to assist the Teachers in delivering the best quality Early Years Education, to ensure all children are happy, safe and achieving their goals. Alongside this, your role would be to help create inspirational environments for learning and exploring, whilst interacting effectively with children to encourage good communication and language skills

The ideal candidate will:

Be educated to a minimum GCSE level in Maths and English

Have an NVQ or other relevant qualification or experience in Early Years

Ideally have experience of working in a school environment

Have the ability to work under pressure

Have a flexible attitude towards their daily routine

Have a sense of humour and a ‘can-do’ attitude
