The post holder must have level 3 in early years education and childcare qualification or equivalent.

You will have some experience of working with young children from 2 – 4 years old. We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and creative practitioner who will bring their own strengths as a positive addition to our small friendly staff team. You must constantly review your practice and strive for excellence and have resilience and resourcefulness to consistently deliver high quality learning experiences. Our pre-school provision is pivotal in creating a link with children’s entry to our primary school on the same site.

You will contribute positively to the visions and values of our schools and be valued and developed as part of our inclusive team. This is a very exciting opportunity to have an active part in working in our setting joining our knowledgeable, creative and hard-working staff team.

For further information about the role we warmly welcome you to come and visit our schools! To book your visit or for an informal discussion, please contact the school office at St Michaels. School visits are encouraged but are strictly by appointment only.

We will seek to recruit the best applicant for the job based on the abilities, qualifications, experience as measured against the job description and person specification. The recruitment and selection of staff will be conducted in a professional, timely and responsive manner and in compliance with current employment legislation, and relevant safeguarding legislation and statutory guidance. An enhanced DBS disclosure will be requested for all successful candidates, including a Children's Barred List check if the role meets the criteria for regulated activity.

All information is stored securely, and any information supplied by unsuccessful candidates will be destroyed through a confidential waste system six months after the decision has been communicated, in accordance with our information and records retention policy.
