Sundon Lower School, nestled in beautiful countryside to the north of Luton, is a small village school with a genuine family feel. We pride ourselves on our values-based education and a close-knit team where everyone knows everyone. This fosters a warm, positive, and caring ethos that is truly at the heart of our school. We boast fantastic facilities, including excellent indoor and outdoor environments specifically designed for continuous provision, fostering exploration and child-initiated learning. Significant work has been done to the environment and curriculum in the past year, making this an exciting time for an Early Years specialist to take on this role and take it to the next step. We are proud to serve a diverse cohort of children from the village and surrounding areas, including those from Luton. Our children are looking for a kind, caring, and supportive teacher who will inspire their curiosity and development, and support them pastorally.
The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent knowledge of outstanding Early Years practice and pedagogy, alongside a deep understanding of child development and play-based learning, and a commitment to promoting equality and diversity. Our mixed Nursery and Reception class is supported by a dedicated Level 3 practitioner and additional adults as required. You will be resilient, patient, and possess strong communication skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues. Working collaboratively as part of our team, you'll use sound judgment and common sense to create an engaging and nurturing learning environment where every child can thrive.
