What skills and experience we're looking for
Our very effective and supportive Governing body are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and caring Early Years Teaching and Learning Assistant who is a conscientious and committed professional that believes all children can achieve high standards and therefore demonstrates consistently high expectations of all pupils in all aspects of school life.
Duties will include supporting the class teacher through general classroom support for all pupils in Nursery, facilitating learning through play, supporting with pupils’ personal needs as required, as well as delivering individual and small group interventions for pupils requiring additional help. The successful candidate must have the ability to work in close partnership with the Class Teacher in helping to promote the acquisition of the Early Learning Goals. Understanding of the Early Years Curriculum and expectations and knowledge of Early Reading and Early Numeracy are essential. The post is to begin on Monday 15th April 2024, although we appreciate the successful applicant may need to work a period of notice so the start date could be flexible, if needed. Working hours are 33.5 hours per week, term time only, following Derbyshire term dates. (8:30-3:30pm each day with 30 minute lunch break).
