What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to
appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our school team, who will support the
delivery of high-quality teaching and learning and who will inspire our
children to achieve their full potential, by working with specific groups of
children within the classroom environment. This is a general Teaching
Assistant post; however, the
successful applicant will be working in KS1 in the first instance.
The role involves working under the instruction/guidance of teaching/senior staff to undertake work, care, support and lead learning programmes, to enable access to learning for pupils and to assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.
St Austin’s is a Catholic Primary School and the successful candidate will be expected to be sympathetic towards and supportive of the Christian values of the school although it is not necessary to be a practicing Catholic.
