Educational Support Assistant job summary

Our Educational Support Assistants provide valuable classroom and 1-1 support for our students with SEN, as well as providing literacy interventions. As such, applicants should have knowledge of SEN and be willing to go the extra mile for our students to ensure they can both access their learning, and enjoy their experience in school.

This role may appeal to anyone considering teacher training or are working towards a pastoral role to gain some addtional experience of working with students.

All our support assistants are coaches, this means they have a coaching group with who they meet each day for 20 minutes, they are responsible for these students and will be key point of contact. This is a fantastic opportunity to get to know students and build strong relationships.

To ensure support assistants can effectively support our students in their lessons, applicants require Maths and English GCSE grade C/4 or above to qualify for this role. A knowledge of Microsoft programmes is also required with training on additional packages such as SIMS and Classcharts available after appointment.

The contract for this role is term time plus 3 days, working hours 8.30am - 3pm (4pm on a Monday to attend CPD).
