What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint 4 enthusiastic, highly motivated Educational Teaching Assistants, who are passionate about supporting learning and building positive relationships with children with a range of needs, and who have the knowledge, skills, abilities and experience to do so.

You will work under the guidance of our SENDCo and teaching staff to implement and oversee agreed learning activities with individual and small groups of students, in or out of the classroom. This may involve assisting in the planning, preparation and delivery of the learning activities, as well as monitoring students, assessing, recording and reporting on achievement, progress and development, under the direction of the class teacher.

2 of these positions will provide an opportunity to work with a focus on either English or maths. In these specialist areas, you will provide a clear network for support, growth and development for students. Please indicate on your application form if you would like to work in either of the specialist areas or more generally across the school.

The successful candidates will need to be able to work collaboratively and flexibly and build good relationships with staff and key parents, demonstrating a respectful and caring attitude towards everyone in school.

Experience of working with children in a school environment and having the appropriate literacy and numeracy skills to support students are essential. Any experience of supporting students with emotional and social needs would be an advantage.

These roles are ideal for those wanting to further their career in education and who have a desire to secure the best outcomes for our young people with SEND.
