Educational Welfare Officer (Term Time + 2 weeks) job summary

As an Educational Welfare Officer at Bishop Milner Catholic College, you will play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing, safeguarding, and academic success of our students. Working closely with staff, parents, and external agencies, you will ensure that every young person has the opportunity to thrive in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.

Key aspects of the role include:

Promoting excellent attendance and punctuality, identifying barriers to learning, and implementing strategies to overcome them.

Offering guidance and support to students facing social, emotional, or welfare challenges, helping them engage fully with school life.

Acting as a link between families, the college, and outside services to provide coordinated support.

Contributing to safeguarding practices and ensuring compliance with statutory responsibilities.

Encouraging positive attitudes towards education and helping students reach their full potential academically and personally.
