The Avenue Special Needs School, based in Tilehurst in Reading, supports over 250 pupils aged 3-19 with severe or profound learning difficulties, physical disabilities and autism. Conveniently located, the school is easily accessible via multiple local bus routes, and on-site parking is available. We are looking for an Administrator within our EHCP Team. As EHCP Team Administrator, you will ensure the smooth running of the EHCP team who are responsible for our annual Education Health & Social Care Plans (EHCP) review process.

Your role will involve doing all administration for the annual reviews including arranging & attending meetings (if required) and completing all the necessary paperwork. You will also be responsible for all the administration associated with the transition of pupils into and out of the school which will include inputting information onto SIMS and keeping it up to date, liaising with the local authority and other specialist education and health service professionals.

The successful candidate will:-

  • have demonstrable administration experience, ideally working in a school or comparable setting.
  • have good literacy and numeracy skills
  • be highly proficient in Microsoft office
  • have good communication and organisational skills
  • be flexible, reliable, a good team player and some-one who likes using their initiative.
