What skills and experience we're looking for
As part of the ongoing development of our Trust team to support our establishments, we have a new opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to join our team of professional and dedicated staff. The finance function has recently gone through a period of significant change, including migrating to a new finance system (Xero with Planergy for purchasing) and moving to the Department for Education’s Chart of Accounts (CoA). This is an exciting time to join our team and to have a significant influence our ways of working and ultimately decision making though the use of reliable and timely financial information to benefit our Trust and most importantly our students.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have significant experience of the academies or education sector and specifically operational budget monitoring for multiple establishments;
- Have strong leadership skills and experience of managing a team;
- Be able to use financial information to help non-finance leadership with decision making;
- Be able to work independently and manage time effectively across sites and in a remote working environment;
- Be comfortable with communicating effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders; and
- Have integrity, enthusiasm and commitment.
