What skills and experience we're looking for

We are recruiting anEmotional Literacy Support Assistantfor our new academy, supporting us with our responsibility for the development and education of pupils. The successful candidate will support pupils with physical, emotional and/or educational needs in accordance withacademy policy. There may also be a requirement to work with pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans or additional educational needs throughout the Key Stages.

Experience of working with primary or secondary aged children with the ability to raise aspirations to ensure the best possible outcomes will be beneficial, as will the ability to motivate children, have a passion to make a positive outcome for our pupils and have high expectations of children’s emotional, social and mental health development. An ELSA Qualification would be desirable, or the willingness to undertake training. Excellent interpersonal skills, and as we are an academy that utilises One:One devices good knowledge of ICT would be essential.
