Endowment Fund Manager job summary

Aston Community Education Trust are a forward thinking and ambitious multi-academy trust, comprising of three secondary academies and nine junior academies across the Rotherham, Sheffield and North Derbyshire areas. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and effective Endowment Fund Manager. This role will attract individuals with previous professional experience in fundraising and financial management.

The post holder will report to the Chief Finance Officer in leading the administration, development and promotion of the Shirebrook Academy Endowment Fund, ensuring it is managed in accordance with the Deed of Gift, charity law, trust governance requirements and Trust policies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Fund's governance, grant-making activity, investment monitoring, financial administration, stakeholder engagement and fundraising activities. Working closely with the Trust Board, professional advisers and community stakeholders, the postholder will maximise the educational impact of the Fund whilst safeguarding its long-term sustainability. The role will ensure that income generated from the Endowment Fund is applied solely in accordance with the charitable purposes established within the Deed of Gift and for the benefit of the Shirebrook community.

A key aspect of the role will be developing a comprehensive understanding of the Shirebrook community, its history, needs, opportunities and stakeholders, ensuring that the Fund continues to deliver meaningful and lasting benefit in line with the intentions of the original endowment.

If you have lived or worked outside of the UK, additional information may be required from you to satisfy safer recruitment checks.
