Job Title: Engagement Coordinator

Location: St Clare's School

Grade/Scale: Derby City Council Support Pay Scale - Grade H (Points 26-29), Actual Salary £32,206 - £34,437 per annum

Contract: 37 hours per week, Term Time Only (39 weeks)

We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Engagement Coordinator to lead behaviour, engagement and SEND support across the school. You’ll oversee behaviour systems, run the Engagement Base, analyse behaviour data, and coordinate targeted interventions that help pupils—especially those with MLD, autism, ADHD and SEMH needs—thrive.

Working closely with leaders, staff and external agencies, you’ll strengthen inclusive practice, deliver staff training, and ensure pupils receive consistent, high‑quality support. This is a key role for someone with strong behaviour expertise, excellent relational skills and a commitment to improving outcomes for all learners.

St Clare’s school is proud to offer personalised education to students aged 11-16 with moderate learning difficulties and associated needs including ADHD, Autism, communication, social, emotional and mental health and challenging behaviour. Located in Mickleover we have 146 students on roll from across the City of Derby and southern Derbyshire.
