What skills and experience we're looking for

Do you want to be part of ‘an inclusive school community where pupils are happy and proud of their achievements’ [Ofsted 2023]

Do you want to make a difference to the outcomes for all students in a school where staff ‘have high expectations’ [Ofsted 2023]

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate English teacher to join our highly motivated and hard-working team. You should be an excellent classroom practitioner and have students at the heart of your decision making.

You must also have a competent understanding of the English Language and Literature curriculums. We are looking for somebody who is creative and dynamic in the classroom and is able to engage a wide range of students. This role is suitable for ECTs, who will benefit from a comprehensive range of support and guidance.

Our team has been on an exciting journey over the past few years as our results have continued to improve year on year. We are very pleased with our most recent set of results from 2023: 86% of students achieved a 4 or above in English language and/or English Literature.

Our English Progress 8 score of 0.45 again evidences the positive progress that our young people are making. We are driven and determined to continue to improve on these results over the coming years.

What the school offers its staff

If you would to like work in a vibrant and progressive environment, we would love to hear from you. You will join a committed, successful and supportive team. As a school, colleagues benefit from a complementary package of health related support provided by Education Mutual.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful secondary school where our students are ‘happy and proud of their achievements’ [Ofsted 2023].
